Make a Film in a Week

Working with experienced film practitioners from the Department of Theatre, Film and Television Studies at Aberystwyth University; participants will work in groups to gain practical film making experience:

You will learn how to:

  • Work in teams to develop and write your script
  • Fully plan, shoot, edit and deliver your film
  • Use lighting and camera equipment
  • Create a sound track for your film

You will attend film screenings in the department's state of the art cinema every evening, and on the final day of the course we will hold a special screening of all the films made during the week. A copy of your group's film will be yours to take with you at the end of the week.

This is a one-week residential course that qualifies for the Residential section of a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. You will be staying in the halls of residence on the university campus next to the where the course will be based.

The course will be offered twice on the following dates:

  • 21st July 2019 – 26th July 2019
  • 28th July 2019 – 2nd August 2019
