Students will be asked to direct or design x 30 minute play or extract for public performance in Theatr y Castell. Lectures and practical sessions will focus on translating the written text to stage and on how the director formulates the ruling idea for the play. Integral to this course is a visit to the RSC at Stratford upon Avon where students will analyse three performances and discuss their ideas with members of the RSC staff and company.
