Module description
As a preparation for the main project, carried out in Semester 2, each student will prepare and present a literature review and a short dissertation on the topic of the project, under the close supervision of the project supervisor.

Learning outcomes
After taking this module students should be able to:

• plan and implement their main project with a good understanding of the physics involved and of the background literature.

Additional learning activities
Teaching will be mainly by weekly tutorials and independent work by the student.
