Aims of the module
The aim of this module is to introduce students to farm business management and to develop their business analysis skills.

Learning outcomes
On completion of this module students will be able to:

1. Construct and analyse a set of farm accounts

2. Undertake a comparative analysis using relevant published data

Syllabus / Curriculum design
The module introduces students to farm business management. They learn to construct farm accounts and will study a range of analysis techniques. Comparative analysis techniques, on a whole farm and enterprise basis, are practised and relevant sources of information identified. The factors influencing and affecting the profitability of agricultural enterprises are considered.
