Brief description


The Oral History module is designed to introduce students to the range of oral sources available to the historian. It aims to develop awareness of oral traditions, to study the way historians in the past have used oral sources, and to discussthe development of oral history as a self-conscious method of historical investigation in the twentieth century. Students will learn how to evaluate oral sources and will take part in a small oral history project as part of the module.
