3rd Year Coordinator Availability

This page describes the typical availability for the 3rd year co-ordinator and ways to make contact.

Working Hours

I am normally available between 9:00 and 18:00 on weekdays. Meetings can be arranged during those times subject to other committments.

Email

My email is nst@aber.ac.uk. I try to respond to emails within a working day. If you haven't received a response to your message in that time, please contact me again.

Meetings

In-Person

I will be available for meetings in my office (B46, ground floor of the Computer Science building). There will be a timetable on my office door to indicate my typical availability.

Microsoft Teams

I am also available for contact on Microsoft Teams.

If the online discussion is about advising issues or personal tutoring, the University wants me to use Teams for the discussion. You can use that through the web, via a downloaded app on your desktop/laptop or via an app on your phone or tablet.

There is the CS Year 3 (2021-22) team on Microsoft Teams that you can join and ask questions that are relevant to more than just you.

Discord

I am also available on Discord. You can find me in the CompSci Community Hub and the Discord servers used for modules that I teach. You are welcome to contact me there. If I think that the conversation falls under what the University wants me to do on Teams, then I will ask that we move the conversation to Teams or arrange a time to talk in-person in my office.

Timetable

Please contact me if there are things you would like to discuss. An indicative timetable is included below. It will vary a bit each week, but this is a good indicator of when I know I will be busy. There will also be a timetable on my office door.

Indicative Timetable

The following list indicates the typical times when I am committed to other tasks.

You can arrange meetings with me at other times.
