Assay solution in total volume of 3ml:

L-2-aminoadipate - 1.25 mM
10 units glutamate dehydrogenase - 50 µl of a 200U/ml solution
NADP - 0.2 mM
pyridoxal phosphate - 1mg/ml
protein solution (as stated on the graphs)
200 µl of 0.01 M Na phosphate buffer pH8.0  

The assay was made up to a total volume of 3 ml with 20 mM Tris/HCl
pH8.0. After mixing well the A340nm was recorded (blank). The reaction
was initiated by adding 2-oxoglutarate (2.5 mM) and the A340nm was
recorded at intervals using a Pharmacia Biotech Ultraspec 1000
spectrophotometer.
