Diagnosis research at Aberystwyth

Our work in this area includes:

VMBD This is a large European automotive consortium looking at on-board vehicle diagnosis. Aberystwyth has been looking at the use of FMEA output for diagnosis (see paper in IAAI-97), and at developing abstract vehicle models for use in diagnosis.

 

AutoSteve This project provides the FMEA analysis needed for some of the diagnostic work carried out on the VMBD project.

 

Effective diagnostic systems Chris Price has written a book on this topic, covering the different kinds of practical knowledge based diagnostic systems that can be built. Published by Springer-Verlag in 1999.
