Mary Hofman (violin) and Richard Ormrod (piano)

This concert is the second in the Beethoven in Wales project, which brings together composers, performers and music clubs to celebrate the musical life of Wales.

The project will present the full cycle of ten violin sonatas by Beethoven, performed by Mary Hofman and Richard Ormrod, in three concerts over a three-year period, along with new works by each of three Welsh composers. The concerts will be given in a number of Welsh venues, including Aberystwyth. This concert will include the three sonatas op 30 and a new work by Aberystwyth-raised Sarah Lianne Lewis.

The Beethoven in Wales project is supported by the Arts Council of Wales, Cerdd, the Colwinston Charitable Trust and the PRS for Music Foundation.

The Annual General Meeting of the Music Club will take place in the Arts Centre before the first concert of the season, that is, at 7.15 pm on Thursday 3 October.
