Aberystwyth Music Club

Programme 2020/21

Covid restrictions have made it impossible for the Club to mount live concerts in the 2020/21 season. We are, however, pleased to be able to offer a Music Club online concert by Mary Hofman (violin) and Richard Ormrod (piano), recorded at their home in North Wales. The concert will be available for three weeks from 8pm on Thursday 1 April 2021.

The programme, which lasts just under an hour, includes:

· Rameau – four movements from the Suite in G (piano solo)

· J S Bach – Allemande from Keyboard Partita No 4 in D, BWV 828 (piano solo)

· Brahms – Violin Sonata No 3 in D minor, Op 108

· Gluck – Mélodie from Orfeo ed Euridice (arr. Kreisler)

· Kreisler – Liebesfreud (Joy of Love), Liebesleid (Love’s Sorrow)
