The work shown in this exhibition was all produced in the course of practice-led PhD research. It encompasses a wide range of materials and processes. Rather than conventional, written artists’ statements, each maker was filmed in studio as they reflected on what it means to undertake creative practice as doctoral research. Their thoughts were captured as they spoke directly to camera and the resulting ‘Doctoring Practice’ film threads together their various and varied responses, to offer particular insight as to how each individual manages their creative activities.
