Media and Sales offer the following binding services:
Steel Temporary Binding
These bindings have a rigid steel spine and a clear acetate front and back, with a black leather-grain card inserted behind your document. Pages are attached to the spine of the binding with adhesive.

Spine labels do not come as standard on all temporary bindings, only on PhD and MPhil Thesis. If spine labels are required for your work, please add £1.00 to each binding requiring a spine label.
Hardback Permanent Binding
These bindings have hard aluminium covers and come with spine labels as standard.
There are three options and prices vary accordingly:
- A Plain cover with spine label.
- B The official Aberystwyth University logo on the front cover with spine label.
- C Your name, title, Aberystwyth University logo, degree & year of submission, with spine label.
Or design your own front cover which we will apply to the binding (please supply your design
as an A4 jpeg).

Preparing for binding
Before submitting work for binding, please ensure that all the material to be bound is in good condition and that that ORIGINAL SIGNED DECLARATIONS are included where necessary.
Pages are bound strictly in the order in which they are supplied.
Only A4 size pages are accepted; we cannot undertake to trim non-standard size paper.
Please allow enough time for the binding to be completed, especially if you require additional information printed on the front cover of your Hardback Permanent Binding. Although we aim to bind your work as soon as possible, please bear in mind that the run up to all submission deadlines are our busiest periods, and we do ask that you allow 3 working days for your binding to be done. The service functions on a 'first come first served' basis.
Re-binding
For post Viva temporary bound work, we can insert the odd correction page if necessary, prior to re-binding the work in permanent hardback binding. A cost may be incurred if there are many pages to insert. Please note that we cannot guarantee the end result.
