Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

Demonstrate an understanding of the methods for analysing business resilience, robustness and sensitivity

Identify factors to be considered when discussing the private/personal side of business

Brief description

Students will learn abut how to anaylse accounts from a businesss to measure the robustness and resilience of the business in accountancy terms. The students will also learn how to do sensitivity analysis and how this can be effectively interpreted to provide them with a better understanding of the business's current position or future position if market predictions are not as expected for a new venture. Finally, the students will be taken through various rural business case studies to highlight how busiensses have developed and adapted to change.

Aims

The aim of this course is to provide the students with further analytical tools for the development of a business venture plan, and to provide them with case studies of current businesses to help them identify how these aspects could be applied.

2) Private and Personal Aspects of a Business
3) Case Studies

Subject Specific Skills Identify different types of business plans, and evaluate the benefits and challenges of developing and implimenting a viable plan.
