On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

Recognise the applicable methods for proximate analysis of feeds and compare in vitro and in vivo methods for determining digestibility.

Demonstrate an understanding of the role of feed analysis for diet formulation

Brief description

You will explore the evaluation of feeds in a laboratory and field context and how this influences diet formulation

Content

Through a series of online lectures, guided reading and quizzes, students will explore:
- applicable methods for proximate analysis of feeds
- more advanced laboratory methods of feed analysis
- in vitro and in vivo methods for determining digestibility
