English Language Courses

All of our fee-paying English Language courses are accredited by the British Council under the Accreditation UK scheme.

This is the sign of a quality English language course.

Course Dates

There are students learning English at Aberystwyth every month of the year.

The English Language Summer School runs for twelve weeks from June to September.

Target English courses run from September to June.

English Language Summer School

An exciting summer school of six 2-week courses with a free social programme.  You can take as many courses as you like, the syllabus for each course is different.  Students from all over the world join our summer school for a language course with a difference, on the warm and safe West coast of Wales.

 

Pre-Sessional Courses

These courses in English for Academic Purposes are for students who want to start a degree course at Aberystwyth in September. They include academic English, orientation into university life, and the essential skills that you need for studying for a degree in UK higher education.

 

Free English Courses

There are two free English courses of three weeks each. 

These courses are taught by the trainee teachers from our Teacher-Training Courses.

Target English

A course of general and academic English for adults.  It is called Target English because we understand that everyone has their own language learning target.  We will help you to achieve that target.
