Thomas Parry Library
The Thomas Parry Library is situated on the Llanbadarn Fawr Campus, Aberystwyth. It serves chiefly the teaching and research needs of the Department of Information Studies (DIS). While the library's first duty is to the University, it seeks also to serve all those with an academic interest in this area, both in Wales and beyond, and welcomes enquirers and searchers from anywhere in the world. A range of facilities are provided both to help you with your studies and for quiet relaxation.

Monday - Thursday December 17–20 2012: 09:00-13:00, 14:00-17:30
Friday December 21 2012: 09:00-12:00, 13:00-14:30
Saturday December 22 2012 – Tuesday January 1 2013: Closed
Wednesday – Thursday January 2 – 3 2013: 09:00-13:00, 14:00-17:30
Friday January 4 2013: 09:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00

Vacation Loans
Standard Loan and Three Day Loan: From Monday, 10 December 2012 until Monday, 7 January 2013
Short Loan: usual loan periods apply.
Periodicals: May not be taken out for the vacation.
Extended weekend opening hours in the Thomas Parry library during Semester 1 exam period
During the weekends of 12/13 January and 19/20 January 2013 the Thomas Parry Library will be open from 12pm-4pm on the Saturday and the Sunday.

Collections
The library has a unique collection of materials of international status on librarianship and information science, a special Children's Library, materials relating to rural resource management, including agricultural and equine sciences and some material for management, computing and media studies.
Primary Education Collection
A collection of resources primarily for students on the PGCE Primary course of the North and Mid Wales Centre of Teacher Education, but others who have registered with Aberystwyth University may also borrow the material. Students who are registered at Bangor University will need an Aber Card before they can borrow material from the collection.

Accessibility
- There are disabled parking bays adjacent to the main entrance of the Thomas Parry which is accessible to wheelchair users via various flat areas or ramps.
- Disabled toilet facilities are located within the main library.
- An induction loop is available at the Enquiry Desk.
- Coloured overlays and magnifiers are available to borrow from the enquiry desk.
- We can arrange to fetch and delivery reading or other materials within the Library, ready for collection or personal study.
- There is a dedicated Green Card area for use by registered Green Card users
