Responsibilities

The Vice-Chancellor's Office team work collaboratively to provide high level support for the University Executive as a whole. Lucy provides dedicated senior administrative support for Professor John Grattan. Responsibilities include: managing and co-ordinating work streams; arranging, attending and taking minutes at meetings; ensuring appropriate, effective and sufficient action has been taken to deal with incoming business; preparing letters, memos, papers and other written material; proof reading and sense checking documents; liaising with representatives from across the University and with members of external organisations; contributing to the management of events (e.g. Graduation, Dinners, Receptions, Award Ceremonies etc.) and carrying out other specific tasks and project work.

Biography

Lucy joined the Vice Chancellor's Office in November 2014 as Executive Personal Assistant. Prior to this she worked for the School of Education and Lifelong Learning (SELL) for almost four years as a Receptionist. Lucy has also been employed in a variety of roles for Ceredigion County Council, Dyfed-Powys Police and Penglais School. Lucy has been learning Wels
