Miss Maria Da Costa

Maria joined RBI in June 2022. She had previously worked as a research associate for capability building at RBI.

Main responsibilities at previous employment

Among other things, she helped promote knowledge transfer partnerships in order to increase business development at the university.

Education and work experience

Prior to starting this job, Maria completed a BSc (Hons) in Equine Science at Hartpury University, followed by an MSc in Equine Science at Aberystwyth University. Additionally, during her studies, she held several jobs in the retail and hospitality sectors.

Experience and knowledge

Maria's studies and previous work experiences have given her strong skills in time management and organisation. Additionally, her past roles in hospitality have enhanced her face-to-face skills and communication abilities.

Main responsibilities within RB&I

Maria provides administrative support and performs PA duties for all RWIF matters. She coordinates arrangements and takes minutes at committees and work meetings.

Most enjoyable part of working at Aberystwyth University

Maria's favourite part of this job is getting to know the various types of projects and research taking place at the university. Additionally, she enjoys working with the people in her department.
