Kate Woodward's current and ongoing areas of research focus on Welsh film (both Welsh and English language), Welsh film history, contemporary Welsh film, cultural policy and cultural institutions including S4C and the Arts Council of Wales. Current and recent projects and publications include The Past, Present and Future of Welsh Language Music Videos, the spectral in contemporary Welsh language horror films, recent filmic and televisual representations of the 1965 flooding of Capel Celyn, and rural-urban relationalities in Folk Horror in Wales and Cornwall.
