Dr Yvonne Kristin Rinkart

Yvonne currently teaches in three departments in Aberystwyth University. In all her teaching, she puts particular emphasis on engaging teaching and productive feedback which empowers students to gain confidence applying their skills in the classroom and beyond. In the Department of International Politics, she teaches seminars and lectures on Behind the Headlines (IP12620), Exploring the International 1 (IP12420). In the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences, she runs tutorial on the Level 1 Geography Tutorials module (GG11900) In Lifelong Learning, she is coordinates and teaches on German Improvers 1 (KA113D).
Yvonne has experience teaching at all university levels, as well as pre-university levels and lifelong learning environments. She has worked as a Learning Support Worker at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen (Machynlleth), General English Summer School Teacher at the International English Centre (Aberystwyth University), Lecture on Effective Study Seminars for incoming undergraduate students (Aberystwyth University), and Part Time Teaching Staff for Global Inequalities (UG, Part 1), Aesthetics, Image and Narrative in Global Politics (UG, Part 2), and Making Connections: Politics Media and Performance (PG, Masters).
Yvonne completed her thesis on The Production on Airport Space: The Times, Spaces and Bodies of International Globalisation in summer 2017. Her work bridges the disciplines of Human Geography and International Politics.
