Profile
Peter is based in the Graduate School. He is currently Lecturer with BioInnovation Wales (0.3 FTE), Senior Lecturer (0.1 FTE) in the Graduate School and Training Lead (0.6 FTE) for the Welsh Graduate School for the Social Sciences . He contributes to a number of distance learning modules through IBERS Distance Learning and is co-ordinator for all distance learning research degrees and research methods including M.Sc., M.Res., and D. Ag / Prof. Doc. He also contributes to teaching and research student support in the Graduate School Doctoral Training Programme.
In 2023 he became the Training Lead for the newly formed Welsh Graduate School for the Social Sciences (WGSSS) which is one of 15 ESRC Doctoral Training Partnerships and provides up to 72 PhD Scholarships per year to candidates applying through the universities of Cardiff, Swansea, Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff Metropolitan, South Wales, and Gloucestershire. In this role Peter co-ordinates the process of development needs analysis for all new scholars, the DTPs training offer, and there other training assets.
He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, A Chartered Horticulturalist and a Registered Nutritionist.
