CEDARS

The Culture, Employment and Development of Academic Researchers Survey (CEDARS) replaces the Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS) and the Principle Investigators and Research Leaders Survey (PIRLS). It is a biennial survey of Researchers in the UK, complementary to the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). Aberystwyth has been engaged in these surveys since 2004. CEDARS explores the key themes that shape the research landscape, including:

• Research culture and working environment
• Professional and career development
• Employment practices and support structures
• The experiences of research staff and their managers
