|Semester Assessment||There are two assessed assignments for this module. These assignments are conducted and realised in tandem, and each should inform and reflect the other whilst retaining an independent artistic integrity:1. The conception and realisation of an independently generated aesthetic event, presented within the public domain. This is a solo project, conducted within parameters negotiated with the course tutors. This project is publicly presented in actual space through a finite duration.||60%|
|Semester Assessment||The conception and realisation of an independently generated aesthetic event, published in electronic form. This is a solo project, conducted within parameters negotiated with the coruse tutors. This project is conceived, realised and presented within virtual space as an interactive public artwork, and should be located within a dedicated web site designed and generated by the course tutors.||40%|
|Supplementary Assessment||The second assessment permits repeat submission (in response to a new project brief) during the August re-sit period||60%|
|Supplementary Assessment||The first assessment may be re-sat through re-taking the module, or via the submission of a 5000 word dissertation contextualizing the proposed Aesthetic Event within current trends of contemporary scenographic practice.||40%|
On completion of this module, students should be able to.
1. Demonstrate the ability to re-appraise methodologies and practices previously studied, through the conception and articulation of two autonomously generated aesthetic events, realised and presented within the public domain.
2. Show the skills and understanding necessary to simultaneously engage actual and virtual space within the parallel articulation of two cross-referenced, aesthetic events.
3. Conduct the considered organisation of electronic folio material as transferable artistic artifacts and documents of practice available within the public domain.
This concluding module aims to provoke informed re-appraisal of methodologies and practices previously studied, within the context of complete aesthetic events autonomously created from the principles of scenography. The module provides a structure for the manifestation of such re-appraisal through the conception and articulation of two independently generated aesthetic events, both presented within the public domain. These solo works are intended to inform and reflect one another, and are developed in tandem, one within actual, the other within virtual, space. The module also facilitates a final drawing together of individual electronic folio material as transferable artistic artifacts and publishable documents of practice. These documents are intended to be of particular value on graduation, contributing to a career or postgraduate portfolio.
- To provoke informed re-appraisal of methodologies and practices previously studied, within the context of complete aesthetic events autonomously motivated, determined and executed from the principles of scenography.
- To provide a structure for the manifestation of such re-appraisal through the conception and articulation of independently generated aesthetic events, realised and presented within the public domain.

4. Real Space Structures - shared space, divided time + alternatives. Research task 4 - web structures, relation of text, image.
5. Web Structure - further compositional techniques. Research task 5 - initial 'Real Space' proposal + supporting material.
6. Concept 1. Presentation of Real Space propositions. Research Task 6 - concept translation in virtual space.
7. Evualuation of web structures. Real space structure resolution. Research task 7. Resolution of proposal to Real Space structure + developed illustration.
8. Sound material and virtual space. Compositional technique and revised material. Research task 8 - preparation of Concept 2 + 2 x 30 second films.
9. Video material and virtual space. Integration of video material. Research task 8 - preparation of final propositions.
10. Real Space final proposal detailing intention, strategy, and anticipated outcome.
