The current Applied and Thematic Skills module focuses on the structured development of a number of generic skills, provides opportunities for career development and enhancement, and also the application of sport and exercise science. The new University Skills modules (1 and 2) and restructured Work Experience modules allow for Applied and Integrated Studies to focus on the application of sport and exercise science to real life sport and exercise settings in Years 2 and 3.
Develop the application of sport and exercise science to a chosen theme.
Examine topics from physiology, biomechanics and psychology perspectives and apply them in workshops.
Use research evidence to explore issues and topics.
The purpose of this module is to introduce students to the application of developing knowledge across sport and exercise science. This Level 2 module takes a multi-disciplinary, thematic approach.
