Brief description
With a focus on studio practice and development, students practice and further develop skills in two dimensional approaches in Fine Art. Students explore how to visually develop an idea into final outcomes and begin a personal portfolio which can be developed in further modules. Students learn traditional skills to interpret contemporary concerns. Visually responding to ideas in contemporary culture and developing thoughts in sketchbooks, students develop this work into larger scale finished pieces in the studio.
Content
This module enables students to explore a range of studio practices. Students are supported with workshops to explore visual ideas through practical skills. Students will be encouraged to work in the studio to develop their portfolios.
