Currently working on the BRAINWAVES project (, researching the potential for using duckweed (Lemna spp.) to remediate nutrient-rich agricultural effluents, mitigating environmental pollution whilst also producing a valuable high-protein feedstock. Research interests include nutrient cycling, organic matter decomposition, biogeochemical cycles, plant-soil interactions, environmental pollution.    

I previously completed a PhD at Aberystwyth University researching the plant-soil interactions of the UK invasive shrub Rhododendron ponticum
