Profile

Having completed a FDSc and BSc in Agriculture at Aberystwyth University I then went onto achieve a MSc in Livestock Science. My research has been largely been livestock production focused looking at health and production in dairy cattle and the role nutrition has to play within that. Following on from this I worked as a dairy nutritionist for a well renowned feed company and then moved to work as Research and Development Officer for the Welsh red meat levy board, Hybu Cig Cymru. I now lecture on the agri-business, livestock production and the agri- skills modules. I am also completing a PhD looking at production efficiency of Welsh livestock farms. I also farm at home on our dairy, beef and sheep farm and I enjoy swimming, cycling and running.
