Rhys joined RBI in June 2022, having previously worked for the Future Foods operation in IBERS since 2020.

Main responsibilities at previous employment

At Future Foods Rhys worked as a Project Administrator with part time acting up responsibilities as Technical Project Manager since 2021. He was responsible for the oversight of all documentation relating to Project Indicators and State Aid provision on the project.

Education and work experience

Rhys completed BA (Hons) Product Design at Sheffield Hallam University in 2007, and before joining the University in 2019 owned and ran a baby-sling and clothing company with his partner since 2013.

Experience and knowledge

As office manager in this business, he gained experience in ensuring the company maintained its financial stability and operated smoothly with its manufacturing schedule throughout the year.

Main responsibilities within RBI

In RBI, Rhys has joined the Project Management Pillar in monitoring research projects. He provides a service for these research projects by creating project closure documentation and assisting projects in the closure process, as well as reviewing their strengths and weaknesses in order to improve University services.

Most enjoyable part of working at Aberystwyth University

Rhys enjoys playing a role in ensuring the University’s ability to run exciting and successful research operations, and working within the beautiful town of Aberystwyth.
