I graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2020 with a BA in Law with Criminology. I am a fluent Welsh speaker and teach predominantly through the medium of Welsh. I am also currently completing my PhD which focuses on policing and vulnerability.
Criminology Scheme Co-ordinator
My research focuses on policing, vulnerability, discretion and organisational culture. I am particularly interested in how frontline officers understand, assess and respond to vulnerability in everyday practice, especially within rural policing contexts. Using qualitative and ethnographic methods, I explore the relationship between policy, practice and decision-making, with a growing interest in the governance of vulnerability through Foucauldian perspectives on power and governmentality.
