Our opening hours at the Hugh Owen Library will be changing over the next few weeks, but Level D (ground floor) will always be open 24/7.

Friday 3 April - Tuesday 7 April
Level D open 24/7 Other floors closed. No staffed services

Thorium - the new reader for EBSCOHost eBooks

EBSCO will launch Thorium Reader on 14th April, replacing Adobe Digital Editions as the new and more accessible way to read downloaded eBooks on your device.
It features built-in text-to-speech functionality for EPUB and DAISY eBooks, customisable display options and easy annotation / highlighting functions.
You can still read EBSCOHost eBooks directly in your browser just as you do now without installing the reader if you prefer. Further information can be found here: https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/EBSCO-eBooks-LCP-Thorium-Frequently-Asked-Questions?language=en_US
