Having completed a FDSc and BSc in Agriculture at Aberystwyth University, I went on to obtain an MSc in Livestock Science. My research primarily focused on livestock production systems, with particular emphasis on dairy cattle health, performance, and the role of nutrition in optimising production outcomes.
Following my postgraduate studies, I worked as a dairy nutritionist for a well-established feed company before taking up the role of Research and Development Officer for the Welsh red meat levy board. I now lecture across modules in agri-business, livestock production, and agricultural skills.
Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I am completing a part-time PhD examining the production efficiency of Welsh livestock farms. In addition to my academic and professional work, I am actively involved in managing our family dairy, beef, and sheep farm. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, cycling, and running.
