January Welcome Timetable 2026
Here you can access the January Welcome and Induction Timetable, which allows you to see the various events and activities organised by: Central Welcome, Your Department and UndebAber.
The timetable focuses on the period between Wednesday, 21st September and Friday, 23rd September.

This is your place to discover, learn and grow.
As you start to familiarise yourself with the university we want to support your transition to university, and for you to get to know the University better. Our AtAber themes focus on seven key areas that will allow you to make the most of your time with us during your transition.
Doctoral Academy
The Doctoral Academy oversees and supports the further development of postgraduates (both research and taught) through the provision of facilities for postgraduates, the Researcher Development Programme, careers enhancement programme, and teacher training programme.
The Doctoral Academy will support all aspects of your time at Aberystwyth University and enhance your experience as a postgraduate student. The Doctoral Academy has strong links with the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit (LTEU) and the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (PGCTHE) programme.

Visa Support and Advice Service
Our International Student Adviser can provide you with specialised immigration advice, in accordance with the Home Office's immigration rules. This can involve advice on how to apply for a student visa from 'inside' or 'outside' of the UK, to protecting your immigration status whilst here, and even post-study visa options if you wish to pursue further studies or work in the UK.
