Maire Gorman has been a lecturer at Aberystwyth University since January 2016. She recently completed her PhD from UCL (August 2016) where she was part of the field-leading ExoMol group. During her PhD she devised novel methods for conducting a systematic programme of high-level ab initio (MRCI) calculations of electronic states for the diatomics of Chromium Hydride (CrH) and Manganese Hydride (MnH). She has presented her work at many conferences including HRMS (Bologna 2014) and NAM (2017). She has co-authored three papers in MNRAS and two pedagogy articles with first-author PhD publications submitted this year. She has key and leading roles in several outreach projects. Her teaching roles range from final-year project supervision to lectures on a range of modules from foundation to year 4.
