Mr Liam Edwards PhD, MPhys

Liam is a postdoctoral research assistant in the Space Physics research group working on the analysis of energetic electron data from the SIXS instrument onboard BepiColombo. He has recently completed his PhD, having obtained a Research Scholarship from the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol in 2019 to fund his postgraduate studies. His PhD consisted of using visible-light observations of the solar corona at low heliocentric heights (< 8 Rs), in conjunction with data analysis techniques, to study the coronal electron density - an important parameter in coronal and heliospheric modelling.
