COMPETITION CLOSING DATE 5pm AUGUST 19TH!

If you are a student or 2023/4 graduate with a business or social enterprise idea that you are ready to turn into a reality by Sept 25, then why not enter and give yourself a chance to win £10,000 & other cash prizes?   

To ensure your Business or Social Enterprise idea has the best chance of being successful in our InvEnterPrize competition:

• Try to include as much information on the application form as possible………..fill in all the sections you can.
• Attend Summer Start-up Week on 4^th-6^th June to gain information on starting up a new business venture.
• Book a one-to-one appointment with a start-up advisor, who will help look through your application before you submit it – contact aberpreneurs@aber.ac.uk for details.
• Make sure you are explaining your Business idea clearly and enthusing/exciting the judges about your new venture.

Summer StartUp Week June 4-6th 

You will learn all you need to know to get your business or social enterprise up and running, covering:

• Market Research
• Marketing & Branding
• TAX
• Finance & Bookkeeping
• Sustainable business/eco-friendly business
• Legal aspects of starting a business
• Protecting your IP
• Next Steps & Support available
• Informal networking session at the end of each day

There will also be Inspirational Role Models sharing their ideas & expertise on how they started their businesses, giving you invaluable hints & tips for your startup journey.

Come and talk to the 'Enterprise Team', we provide current students, graduates and others with the support they need to either, become freelance/self-employed, set up their own business/social enterprise, launch a scalable startup or develop essential enterprise skills.  

We offer inspirational events, skill development workshops, specialist mentoring, annual student business competition, plus advice and guidance through our 1:1 appointments.
