Employee Assistance Programme
The Employee Assistance Programme offers a section on 'Financial Guidance and Information' - available for free to all staff.
- Legal and Financial advice: Staff can speak with an Information Specialist for advice on budgeting, benefits, credit, debt, banks, loans, consolidation, and utility bills. Specialists are available from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week.
- Online Resources: Through the Wisdom Wellbeing portal or App, staff can access an interactive informative articles, and pre-recorded webinars on financial wellbeing and advice from information specialists.
Pension
Through your pension contributions you have access to information, resources and webinars to support financial planning.
- Aberystwyth University Pension Scheme (AUPP) - staff on grade 5 and below who are members can access useful resources such as
- Webinars (live and recorded) - such as: 'Setting out on your pension journey (under the age of 30); 'Making the most of your pension' (over the age of 30); 'Starting to plan your retirement' (more than 10 years to go until retirement); 'Approaching your retirement' (less than 10 years to go until retirement); and more.
- Planning tools - such as 'Retirement planner', and, Document Library
- Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) - staff at Grade 6 and above who are members can access the members area for a range of useful resources
- Webinars (live and recorded) - such as: 'Your USS pension basics'; 'Planning ahead for your retirement'; 'Approaching Retirement'
- Retirement Planning tool and impact of life events.
Other external services
MoneyHelper (provided by Money & Pensions Service) - provide free, impartial guidance and recommends further, trusted support if you need it. Sections that cover benefits, family & care, help with cost of living and debt, savings and investment, tax, and pensions and retirement, mortgage and homebuying, and more.
Citizens Advice - national charity with practical advice on a range of areas including benefits, debt and money advice, budgeting, pensions, and more.
Moneysavingexpert - offers lots of free practical advice, money saving tips and comparisons -including budget planner, debt help, banking and savings, tax, pensions and future planning.
