Thesis

My study aims to bridge the gap in the literature relating to the causes of radicalisation and the process of recruitment of Tunisian youth by ISIS.

My work will be done through NGOs and government bodies working in the field of radicalisation and reintegration as well as through universities to contact people with same demographics as Tunisian fighters who joined ISIS. This is to better understand the causes and motives to join such radical groups which are critical to their reintegration.

Findings of the project will be of a great value for me as a researcher and for the university. Yet, it also can be of potential interest for similar governmental and non-governmental organisations in other countries than Tunisia.
