Research Degrees
We offer research degrees in most major areas of law and a number of more specialised topics.
It is possible to study on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The Department of Law and Criminology is always keen to welcome research students, whose contribution to the research culture we consider very important.
We pride ourselves on the high standard of supervision provided for postgraduate students. We take a keen and active interest in their progress and are always on hand to offer encouragement, guidance and advice.
In recent years many postgraduate students from the Department have published their research in books and articles, and we are always happy to give advice about publication. There have also been several publications as a result of joint research projects between staff and postgraduates.
