Aberystwyth is in the top 10 for student satisfaction
The Times Good University Guide published this week (Monday 5 June) has revealed that Aberystwyth is amongst the top 10 of all British universities for the high satisfaction levels amongst students, and the first in Wales. The influential guide drew on the results of the National Student Survey, which collated opinions about courses from 170,000 final-year undergraduates.

Results from the government-backed study have been posted on the Teaching Quality Information website, www.tqi.ac.uk, to help prospective students to see how present students rate their lecturers.  Undergraduates were asked to grade the quality of teaching that they received, the level of feedback and support available, the state of study facilities and their overall sense of satisfaction with their degree courses.

Professor Aled Jones, Aberystwyth University's Pro Vice-Chancellor with responsibility for student support, welcomed the Times report saying – “this confirms the superb quality of academic, accommodation, social and sporting facilities available at Aberystwyth.  In an age when students are becoming increasingly aware of their choices as consumers, it is vital that universities are able to offer the highest quality facilities and services.  At Aberystwyth, we have commenced an investment programme of over £15m to enhance our already excellent facilities.  We have also invested heavily in our student support services, to ensure that the students who entrust their futures to our care, complete their courses successfully”.
