Would you like to know more about renewable energy?
The last in a highly successful series of workshops on Access to Renewable Energy takes place at Y Lanfa, Trefechan, Aberystwyth on Thursday 21st June between 1-3.30pm.

Organised by the University of Wales, Aberystwyth Science Circuit in conjunction with Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations (CAVO) and Ymlaen Ceredigion, the Access to Renewable Energy workshop is designed for people who want to learn more about renewable energy and provides information on courses and grants which are available.

The Aberystwyth event is being hosted by Technium Aberystwyth.
Roger Morel is the Science Circuit Project Officer.

“This is the last of a 12 week series of Renewable Energy events held throughout Ceredigion where we have spoken to more than 120 people and received a lot of good feedback.”

“Science Circuit is a European funded project bringing science to the doorstep of people in Ceredigion. Such has been the success of the project that it has been extended for a further 8 months to January 2008. This is great news as it will enable us to reach many more people throughout Ceredigion. Science Circuit can be the key that unlocks a better future for all.”

Science Circuit has a fully equipped mobile laboratory which can travel Ceredigion, offering an exciting programme of events, tasters and short beginners' courses in a wide range of science areas.  The courses are aimed at adults over 16, but there are also activities for all the family to join in together at various local events.  All Science Circuit activities are completely free.

“It doesn't matter if you are new to science – or just never liked it at school!  Perhaps you want to be better informed about scientific debates or would just like to understand better the science your children are learning at school. Science Circuit could also be for you if you are thinking of working in areas such as conservation, food technology, sustainable energy or health,” added Roger.
