Profile

Liam is a third-year PhD student in the Solar System Physics research group supervised by Dr. Huw Morgan and Dr. Matt Gunn. Funded by the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol, his research currently consists of:

  • Visible-light polarisation imagery of the December 14th 2020 total solar eclipse in South America
  • Using 3-D density maps gained by tomography of the solar corona to investigate the rotational nature of the corona itself

More detailed information about his research and the research of the entire group can be found at: https://solarphysics.aber.ac.uk/

Teaching

Liam is currently a postgraduate demonstrator for the foundation year module PH05720 Introduction to Laboratory Physics.
