Foams as liquid filters

We develop computer simulations to model aqueous foams, a class of complex fluids that have many applications.

In particular, we study how effective a foam is for filtering or transportation of solid objects. We can determine which material parameters are important in deciding whether or not an object becomes entrapped by a foam.
