UKRI explain Trusted Research as a term “for protecting the UK’s intellectual property, sensitive research, people and infrastructure from potential theft, manipulation and exploitation, including as a result of interference by hostile actors”.

The National Protective Security Agency (NPSA) have provided guidance to Universities on how to protect your research.

The following checklist will help you evaluate new research proposals to determine if further action is needed.
