The University of Wales has awarded the Vernam Hull Prize for 2007 to Dr Ian Hughes, Senior Lecturer in the Department, for his volume Manawydan Uab Llyr: Trydedd Gainc y Mabinogi. The prize (£1,000) is awarded for the best work dealing with Welsh prose pre-1700. We offer our warmest congratulations to Ian on his success.
