2011 - Professor Robert Jervis - Force and World Politics in Our Era

Professor Robert Jervis of Columbia University, New York, is one of the leading academics internationally, and it was a considerable coup to get him to deliver the 2011 Annual Lecture. For nearly 40 years Professor Jervis has been a giant in the field of international relations, specialising on the psychology of decision-making, international security, nuclear strategy, intelligence, and the Cold War. He has written some of the most influential books and articles in these fields, and the topic of the lecture is particularly timely. His lecture, entitled "Force and World Politics in Our Era," took place in the Old Hall Lecture Theatre, Old College, Aberystwyth University on Thursday 5 May 2011.
