Requesting work from the Design Studio
The Department of Marketing and Student Recruitment has worked with Information Service to develop a new workflow system in the Design Studio. This system will help us and help you as the customer to keep track of the work sent to the Design Studio, as all work sent is shown on your personal record. It will operate as a bilingual document management system for the University.
Please send work for the Design Studio via this new system but you are welcome to continue to use the e-mail (email@example.com) or telephone (ext. 8760) for any enquiries/questions.
To get started, click, https://myadmin.aber.ac.uk/ log in and start creating your design studio request by clicking on ‘Design Studio Jobs’ button.
For Design & Print to function fairly and effectively it is necessary to provide sufficient time for work to be produced.

Instructions for users:
The images you have access to are watermarked previews. You can search using keywords as well as the built-in categories found on the site. When you find an image you like, simply click “Save”. This adds your images to a favourites section on the site which you can then access to collect them later. If you are working with us on a job you can email them a list of images you need from the favourites page. Just copy and paste the image file names from the favourites into an email.
All photography requests must be completed via https://myadmin.aber.ac.uk selecting "Design Studio Jobs".
The majority of the work undertaken by the department is recharged to departments. Given that the department is run on the basis of providing a 'service' to the University, the level of charges are substantially less than those levied by commercial printers. Work, which is outside the remit of the University, is charged at competitive commercial rates.

Quotations can be given for all work undertaken. Please contact the Service for details. Paper prices will depend upon the market price of paper at the time of purchase. The Service works within the University of Wales Purchasing Consortium but closely monitors market prices to ensure the most competitive purchase price.
There is usually no charge for graphic design, web design or photography to University departments requiring promotional material to recruit undergraduate and postgraduate students. However there are penalty charges for late changes to designs or copy. You will receive a job proof sheet with every project which highlights the responsibility of the customer to proof and approve jobs before they are printed.
