Marking the centenary of the 1916 Military Service Act (enforced army conscription), former BBC head of news and historian, Aled Eirug shares his PHD research on objection in Wales through the First World War – and launches a public call for hidden histories on Conscientious Objectors in Wales.

This event has been organised by the Wales for Peace team at Welsh Centre for International Affairs, and the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University.

To coincide with the Remembering for Peace exhibition currently displayed at the National Library of Wales, this lecture is the second in the Welsh Centre for International Affairs series of Remembering for Peace Wednesday Public Lectures.

This lecture is in Welsh with simultaneous translation into English.

The lecture starts at 4.30 and takes place at the Department of International Politics on the Penglais Campus at Aberystwyth University.

All are welcome!
