Nikki Mattocks

Nikki Mattocks is a member of the Aberystwyth University Lived Experience Advisory Panel. She brings lived experience of neurodivergence, personality disorder, Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), psychosis, involuntary hospitalisation, and physical health issues. 

She is particularly interested in contributing to research or writing/ teaching on topics such as; patients with complex presentations, women's health, compassion, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, how to write clinical notes kindly, psychiatric medication side effects, and sitting with discomfort. 

Nikki is a creative and committed author, advisory group member, lecturer, facilitator, podcast host, and trainer. 

She joined the panel because she wants to encourage the clinicians of tomorrow to see the human before the diagnosis.
