Aberystwyth International Scholarship for Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Students:

During your application for your degree course you will automatically be granted the Aberystwyth International Scholarship, provided you meet all the eligibility criteria. The University will assess your eligibility based on your fee-paying status, which is determined by the information you submit in your application for study.

Eligibility  

• These scholarships are restricted to students who are international fee payers
• The Scholarship can be held in conjunction with the International Accommodation Award, which offers free acommodation for one academic year. 
• The scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with any other Aberystwyth Scholarships, bursaries or discounts, unless specifically stated.

Students who are not eligible  

The following students are NOT eligible for this scholarship regardless of meeting the above criteria:

• Students undertaking a programme of study normally delivered fully online.
• BVSc Veterinary Science or BSc Nursing students.
• Deferring students. Where a scholarship has been awarded to a student who subsequently defers entry to the following academic year, the award will be withdrawn and the applicant will be considered again in-line with the terms and conditions that apply in the new proposed year of entry.
• Students who are resitting a year and therefore may not be paying full fees.
• Students who are assessed as Home-fee payers.
• Current students whose first year of undergraduate study at Aberystwyth University, was prior to academic year 2026-27

Payment Arrangements 

These scholarships will be granted as a reduction on the total cost of tuition fee that is payable on registration at the University. Payment cannot be offset against a tuition fee deposit if one is required.
