| Acronym | |
|---|---|
| FAFSA | Free Application for Federal Student Aid |

You will also hear the words Disbursement and Origination.
Origination: This is when the University creates the loan on behalf of the student after the student and parent (if applicable) have completed all the steps and confirmed the desired amount. This is done after a student receives a financial package from the University and submits the loan request form.
Disbursement: This is when the University takes the required funds for tuition fees and accommodation (if applicable) from your loan amount received from the U.S. The remaining funds will then be sent to you within 3 working days (please allow 5 working days for funds to arrive to your Bank Account).
